Comments: The Cyclopaedia; or, Universal Dictionary of arts and sciences[2] was produced by Ephraim Chambers in 1786 and was published in London, printed for J. F. and C. Rivington [and 28 others], and included a supplement, and modern improvements, incorporated in one alphabet, by Abraham Rees.

When the work was reissued it now appeared under Rees´ own name as The Cyclopaedia: or, Universal dictionary of arts, sciences, and literature / By Abraham Rees...with the assistance of eminent professional gentlemen. It was written by about 100 different contributors and appeared in parts between January 1802 and August 1820 in 39 volumes. It included a number of maps and four have been seen with Cooke´s signature. The maps are dated 1806/1807 although the complete Rees work was not completed until 1820. The maps are in Vol.VI. dated 1820 in the London edition (undated in US edition).[3]

[1] Locating copies is difficult as David & Charles (of Newton Abbot, UK) published a five-volume set in 1972 and many library lists refer to this set.
[2] The Cyclopaedia; or, Universal Dictionary of arts and sciences containing an explanation of the terms, and an account of the several subjects, in the liberal and mechanical arts, and the sciences, human and divine: intended as a course of ancient and modern learning.
[3] The Hathi Trust has two copies in digital form: only the University of Michigan copy is worth looking. All Cooke maps can be viewed and the signature just discernable. Here they appear to be maps 38, 56, 41 and 42.
[4] Followed by list of publishers / distributors including F C and J Rivington, A Strahan, Payne and Foss, Scatcherd and Letterman, J Cuthell, Clarke and Sons, Lackington Hughes Harding Mavor and Jones, J and A Arch, Cadell and Davies, S Bagster, J Mawman, Black Kingsbury Parbury and Allen, and some 14 others, all London.
